Well old Jenksy likes loads of stuff! My favourite music channel is Clubland (sky 383). Enjoyed all the disco stuff in the 70's, the electronic 80's and so on. Used to enjoy clubbing in the 80's and house music. These days I have loads of Euphoric dance music and club classics. Old Jenksy loves Scooter as well (just a coincidence honestly). I like to sing Styles and Breeze classic "shining" to Mrs Jenksy (have a look on you tube. Not sure how to add links I'm afraid!). My kids just look at me and shake their heads. "Turn it down dad!!". Haha. I'll have a look at some of the links you've put on later. Potatoes and veg all done now, Mrs Jenksy supplied with tea, and cat fed.Just sat down to listen to the archers now (no laughing please). Was going to cricket but looked on my weather app. 8°c feels like 4°c!! B****r that! So I'll probably Sym off over to Ma and Pa for a little visit (twice in one weekend!) Have a good Sunday!

Like a range from Celtic to Metallica with a bit of Levellers and Queen chucked in to balance things up. When it comes to Pop i would guess the 80's and early 90's was the last time i took notice of chart offerings.

Well had a look at the you tube links for Nightwish and TSO. Good stuff! Certainly brings back memories of my late teens. Heavy rock and long hair, as opposed to now, very little hair, but don't say anything because apparently us old blokes get touchy about hair loss! What a load of tosh! Just means I have to wear a hat to keep me warm in winter and I have to go careful in summer. I still have some hair, and these days Mrs Jenksy gives me a grade 3 all over with the clippers, brilliant. Had to get a bit of shopping for Mrs Jenksy, so off I sym'd to Sainsburys in Portswood, only to find they had closed Cobden bridge for the Southampton marathon!!! What's all that about then. Anyway I just turned round and went to Sainsburys at Bitterne (which is closer anyway). Parked next to a little Piaggio zip on 54 plate so that's 11 years old!! only 8500k on the clock (I'm a nosey basterd!). It looks very small next to the Symply and quite flimsy if you know what I mean. Especially now I've got my topbox, makes it look bigger! so much easier with that I must say. Back home now looking forward to my dinner. It feels like winter out there again today. Ma and Pa might have to make do with a phone call! Take care fellow Symites.

Now this will probably sound strange, but being an avid Radio listener i tend to like almost anything. Cannot really think of any Type of music or Band/solo artist i would call a favorite.Come to think of it i think i only own 2 cd's. One being a 'Now That's What I Call Xmas' and the other being a Local Dorset Band Called ProngHorn (youtube that one) and that one must be 15 years old and purchased at The George Pub in Poole when they use to play once a month on a Thursday.
Hope you all have had a good weekend. Got roped into the British Heart Foundation Dorset Cycle ride today at the last minute (7am this morning). 66 miles and it stayed mostly dry under Heavy skies.

I listen to many different kinds of music. My favourite is late 70's to early 80's rock, new wave and electronic stuff (I play synth and keyboard). I also like early rock, psychedelic, and I am a big fan of 90's-2000s hip-hop and gangster rap as well! The only stuff I don't like is modern (last 10-15 years approx.) commercial music. And I have to have the physical copy, whether vinyl or CD. mp3's are a no-no in my opinion! I used to like the local music scene too, but the smoking ban sort of put me off in the end. One of my mates had a band called 'Dirty Sci-fi' and I went to almost every gig of theirs. Really liked their sound and got to know all the other band members too. They were a psychedelic rock band, sort of a cross between The Doors and Joy Division.

My mother LOVES TSO. As for me, i listen to a lot of stuff it varies. But theres nothing better than riding to work and dancing (safely) and singing to my music, get some odd looks but hey...Singing at the top of my voice at 6AM helps me wake up!

I'm a big Bruce Springsteen fan, seen the great man several times. Also a bit of an old folkie, love all the music on at the Edinburgh Festival each year, especially the open mic venues. A couple of years ago Lynn (my long suffering, non scooter loving partner), arranged for me to have some guitar lessons with Edinburgh singer songwriter Roy Henderson (I used some of his music for one of my bike ride vids). It was something I'd always wanted to be able to do in however limited a way. We battled to a point where I could string some chords together (and he'd avoided a nervous breakdown), then I started playing around with writing some of my own songs and posting them to Soundcloud. At the risk of getting ripped to bits, here is a link to one... soundcloud.com/simon0867/vapourised-2nd-november-2013

I think the only music I don't like is country and western! Sorry to all the CW fans but there you go. What a coincidence mate I've got a Lynn as well! She not a scooter rider either, or a car driver (despite having a licence longer than me!!). She did some maths the other day and worked out that I can afford to retire at 60 (6 years time!). So that's that. I did say that she could get a scooter as well and we could go for spins together. Surprisingly she didn't dismiss the idea. I won't get my hopes up though. I personally think I have a singing voice to please anyone! Unfortunately Mrs Jenksy and the rest of the world seem to disagree, what do they know. Hope all is well up there in Bonnie Scotland and you are Syming around all over the place! May be you could "Orbit" right around the capital on your scooter (did you see what I did there ha ha). O.k I'll shut up and go have my tea. Take care now.

All going well up here thanks. I don't think my Lynn will ever be tempted by two wheels, or my masterplan to buy a three wheeled scoot for touring about on. Still I've got a few more years to work on it though ! Off to sunnier climes on holiday next Wednesday so the Orbit will be parked up for over a week, it won't be happy ! Hope all is good with you, safe scootering.

Thanks Freddie, I was on Achill Island in Co. Mayo last October to visit family. Beautiful country, but they get some mad weather.

Will have a Day or two in Dublin just to make sure they are still serving a pint of the Black Stuff correctly and then heading West across Country to Dingle where i have a few cycling Friends who Live in the area.As you say Weather can change very quickly, mostly to the wet stuff.I don't mind cycling in the rain when you have wonderful scenery to take your mind off of it :-)

Have been raised on a Musical diet of Bruce Springsteen. I love the live 75-85 album and just listening to him talking about his youth and the conflicts he had with his Father and how they all turned out well in the end. I guess i would say The River is my Favorite, i can sing that word for word. My Hometown another.Songs with lyrics that you can close your eyes and see the story as you listen. The Boss :-)

Nebraska for me, closely followed by Devils and Dust. I used to have a huge (1000+ titles) collection of bootleg concerts which started out as a hobby and then for a few years became an unofficial business. My favourite live era would be 1973-75 with Bruce and the band on the brink of fame.
