My knee trouble came back with a vengeance so I spoke to the guys who built my trike and we have agreed to swap the trike for the Piaggio MP3 (it's the 500cc version). I'll put up better photos when the swap takes place.

AAAAAGH! That's one big scary machine. Bet the old heads will be turning when you go for a cruise. Enjoy!

Sorry to hear about your knee trouble, but I would love one of those 3 wheelers (the ones you can ride on a car license). Would give me some power without the need for CBT's, tests etc. If only they weren't £6K+ Look forward to hearing how you get on with it.

I had the choice, European holidays or give them up for a couple of years and get the trike built. Guess what I did Now it's paying dividends.

Well, it's here. All I have to do now is a familiarisation day with it. After that - watch out, Lesley's about
That should have read "All I have to do now is wait for a dry day so that I can have a familiarisation day with it". Still waiting for a dry day. Oh, Mr Blue Sky, Here Mr Blue Sky

Well, did a 2 hour familiarisation today. It was FUN. Went out through Crossgates towards Inverkeithing, then onto the A90 heading for Tranent but the traffic was backed up for some reason. Filtered for about a mile, got bored, came off at the North Queensferry junction. Headed towards Dalgety Bay, then thought I would head over to Kirkcaldy to speak to the Sym shop about the small screen for the Fiddle. Into Kirkcaldy, got to the shop, wee discussion with The Man. Still no screen BUT he was very impressed with my new toy. Came away from there then went to The Sign Co to talk about getting graphics made up for the Fiddle. Ended up ordering chrome graphics for the Piaggio as well. Back onto the road, came through Cardenden, Lochgelly and finally back to Cowdenbeath. All in all a really good run. Am now more confident on the machine and am looking forward to more fun runs. Lesley M.

That sounds like a nice little trip. Just had a little look on the map! I thought Kirkcaldy rang a bell in my mist filled head, Mrs Jenksy's auntie Ann lives there! Apparently I can't pronounce it properly either, says my half Maltese, born in Southampton, and lived in Scotland for 5 years wife!!! I'm surprised she can remember back all those many years haha! Glad you had a good ride and your new machine behaved itself. Looks like its warming up nicely down here this week. We had a picnic lunch at Portchester Castle today sat in the sun reading our books. Checked the oil, lights and tyres today on the Symply, due a bit of maintenance soon nearly 5000km on the old clock! Have fun up there. What time is getting dark at the moment? we still have lightish sky at 10! A bit later for you I expect!

I like that trike. Eventually you will be able to wind people up when stationary, - by using the tilt lock so you don't have to put your feet down!!! It will take them a while to work it out! Very complex machine though if anything goes wrong with it.

Very complex machine though if anything goes wrong with it. Still getting used to the tilt lock and making sure the bike is totally upright before engaging, but it's like everything else - practice makes perfect. As for anything going wrong I've talked my local (40 miles away ) Piaggio dealer into doing any work that will be needed.
