Hi Guys Just like to say thank you to you all for the Forum. I know i have not really said anything on here but i find reading through the posts entertaining to what everyone gets up to. Now for reality, as some of you may know i spent some time in Australia visiting Family and pretty much out of the blue i have had a job offer in the Nursing sector in OZ. With the blessing of jonathan (housey), my partner in crime and Love i am setting off for 12 months on contract to see how things work out. Will be honest i need heat and Sunshine cannot stand the cold. So firstly thank you all for the kind words that were said after the passing of my Brother jonscoot and i leave his words and Diaries on Sym travels in houseys hands to make the fact that travelling far on a small engine is possible, it starts with the turn of the key and the press of the start button.Nothing is impossible :-) So to each and every one of you SYMites, get out and enjoy and the bike that directed you to the Forum....the SYM. Love to you all brenda

Love to you all brenda Congratulations on your job opportunity. Australia , now I reckon it'll take you about 6 months to get there on the Symply!! (bet Jonscoot would have worked out a route for you ha ha!). It's always the way though isn't , you just get together with someone and a chance comes up that you really have to take! Sod's law I think they call it! Anyway all the best Brenda. They have Syms in Australia as well and it would be nice hear from you on our little forum now and again. Lucky you have family there so that they can translate for you! Anyway all the best to you and I hope housey keeps busy with the diary, I'm looking forward to future instalments!!!

Thank you jensky it is an offer that i would be fool hardy to turn down. As for jonscoot planning a route i know what he would say lol, "get to Dover, jump on a ferry then keep heading East who needs a route or plans". Will most probably seek out a little scooter to ferry me around. The British SYM would not be allowed as you can turn off the headlights which is failure in the Ozzie version of the M.O.T for little scoots.Would have to modify her which probably would not be too hard to do as the Orbit is their version so i guess can change switches.
One little thing i would like to share is a short piece of writing that jonscoot wrote about his riding that is taped to the Symply 50...Says
The Coolness as the Sun did rise Made me think about the SYM's wee size On board i ride though slow in pace Enjoy the ride, between each place She may be small, she may be weak She takes me there To each place i seek A humble bike and me a lump She is a SYM I came up Trumps.
Cheers Guys :-)

P.S have clocked up 500 miles on Symply 50 since News Years Eve. It is my gateway to true adventure on two wheels. No problems as far. Great little bike.

Thank You jensky i Really get a buzz out of the extreme side of travel. Follow a few people on You tube like c90adventures and bikerbits. Just realised that there is someone(jonscoot)who was doing what i aim to do and thought wow it is not impossible.

Joe, will be posting more of jonscoots Diaries very soon.Doing it a bit different for the longer travel ones in the fact i am writing them as files on the laptop and will attach them. With the shorter inserts was fine just writing and posting direct on here but i don't think that will work with the longer ones. I sit and read over and over as i copy them and get a bit lost in the the text then realise i should be typing lol. Looking to post the Following 65 mile ride to Somerset 1000 km Dorset, Somerset, Devon and home. The one that will take the time is a trip from Bournemouth to Lincolnshire which was a straight run but the return journey went in all directions including Wales and Cornwall. That was on a Jet50 Euro x and is a book in itself. Cheers Guys

Cheers Joe Joe, the longer you leave your life's goals the less time you have to enjoy them. That was jonscoots moto in life. He did not do to bad but 41 years old was a young age to lose the chance to do the rest. Get out there and go for it . Enjoy your SYM every mile and smile.
