Well it'd been quiet around here over the last week.
Not really suprised, the weather has hardly been conducive to scootering. Only managed a couple of days last week myself before the ice, snow and winds descended again. In the hope that the week ahead will be a bit better I got the bike cleaned down today and refitted the long arm mirrors after sanding down the crappy chrome and spraying with silver alloy wheel paint. I used this paint to freshen up a chrome soap holder in our shower which was starting to spot with rust. It's good stuff, the holder gets soaked every day and no sign of any problems so far.
Also got my Foggy anti-fog visor insert on Friday, so fitted that to my full face helmet. It's a bit chilly to ride with the visor up !!
Hope you all have a good week, and stay safe.

I've still been riding despite the cold. Went out in -2°c the other day, no problem with the proper gear. Must admit the wind yesterday was quite brutal and deafening as I rode 40 miles mostly on fast A roads. Need to do an oil change but the cold wind puts me off.
I wear a balaclava under my helmet and when my visor mists up when stopped/going slowly the cold isn't a problem when I flip it up. My face is usually hot after a ride.

Wish I was hibernating! I don't like winter at all. Had a busy week at work last week something like 21 hours overtime, had enough in the end so I had my Friday off! Took the Symply off to the Riverside Diner at Bitterne Park for a nice breakfast as a treat (for me that is not the Symply!). Have not had any time to give the scooter a clean or do my exhaust touch up. Hopefully I'll get the chance next Sunday. Mrs Jenksy and I spent a lovely weekend in Cardiff, we got the train on Friday afternoon and stayed until Sunday. Saturday morning we explored the castle and in the afternoon I was packed off to the Doctor Who experience (a present from Santa!). Great fun was had by me, and Mrs Jenksy spent the afternoon around the shops (yawn!). Got up this morning and let the Symply have a good warm up before venturing off to work, it goes much better if I do that. There was a car that was actually going slower than me this morning, I was catching it up! Most odd. I'll have to fill up tomorrow or Wednesday I think, more expense!!! Nice to see some of you brave souls are venturing out in the cold (and snow). It's certainly a test for man and machine! Take care now and roll on spring.

I went to the Dr Who Experience with my long suffering partner and daughter last year. Loved it although I'd have liked to see more classic era props and models. My main Christmas present this year was a TARDIS dressing gown :-)

My main Christmas present this year was a TARDIS dressing gown :-) I have a tardis duvet cover in the back bedroom as I often retreat there if Mrs Jenksy has been eating garlic or has a blocked nose and starts snoring! My 12 inch......CYBERMAN lives there on the shelf as she finds it really scary! Also have my trainset and subbuteo in there! Its not really my 54th birthday this year according to Mrs and Baby Jenksy, no I'm 12 again! The Symply has had a day off as we had a covering of snow and I'm a proper woos! All gone now so hopefully I'll be able to ride to work tomorrow! Take care out there!

Even down here in the 'soft south' its been bloody freezing, but have managed to brave a couple of bracing rides. Must admit, I have been busy with work and attending meetings as well, but taking the Joyride out for a run in the next half hour or so.
