Popped into the local dealer to get a new topbox for the Symply. Ok it's a SYM branded one and has a good capacity but i did think £100 was a bit on the steep side. Either that or i am just getting tight in my old age

Did think that at the time but also thinking it's cost me £20 in taxi there and back so not leaving empty handed. On the plus side i came home to find neighbour had taken delivery of the new front wheel (was not expecting that yet). So busy day tomorrow and i promised our brenda that i would keep an eye on jonscoots memorial plaque and keep it tidy so next trip will be a ride up there.
At least the suns still shining and staying dry :-)

Thought I might treat myself to a top box. Had a bit to pick up for myself and Mrs Jenksy the other day and having to carry my helmet and shopping basket is a bit of a pain! Looked on CMPO as I'm on their e-mail list. They had a 32litre box with fixing kit for £19.99 + postage (about £5). They even had a little video on the site about it as well. So Jenksy thought "why not, if its no good I'll send it back". Arrived on Wednesday so I fitted on Thursday. I'm well pleased with it. A little bit of jiggleing and lining up but its great for the money! Tend to get things like plugs and oil strainers and bits and bobs from them as they are cheaper and delivery is very quick. The box detatches easily enough if you want to take it off and leave just fixing plate. Loads of room for crash helmet and some to spare.

Certainly sounds well priced that. Will have to have a look on the site myself. Was using a large 60 litre rucksack the other day on the symply when being the Easter Bunny and dropping off the Sweets etc. Would be a handy thing to have a top box :-)
