Had a visit from the Husband of the Lady who was Drink Driving when she hit my parked Symply and damaged another parked car. He offered to pay the new replacement cost of the Symply in cash and perhaps a few extra pounds for troubles rather than go through insurance company. Not thinking this sounded ok, got Dad to talk to Police about it.They said that is ok as all is in order with her paperwork and she has been charged. Told the Husband i will just accept the cost of the Symply which was £1,173 OTR and not any extra money.Dad agreed with me thankfully. Any extra money would make me feel i was being 'payed off' and did not like the sound of that.

Hopefully you will back on course for you camping adventure with a Symply as originally planned. The woman's husband has certainly saved you a lot of time and hassle waiting for insurance companies to sort things out and it is refreshing to see he has done "the right thing" under the circumstances. Onwards and upwards mate!

Lucky lad is all I can say. Not every car driver would be willing to settle up as quick as that. Don't forget to post photos of the new ride when you get it.

Onwards and upwards mate! Not 100% sure if i will buy another 50cc with the money, already having the Symba in waiting and having use of the yamaha 50 at the moment. Would think i would lose most of the money in the short time i would be using a new Symply after just 8 months of use when it came to selling it on. Said to Mate James that i would use the money to help him with any short fall he has when buying his own Symba. Trying to put money by for the trip and his Symba is awkward for him. I am lucky in the fact that i can have Dad help me out and repay him with Working on the Farm part time. Feels right to help a Life long Friend (the best) if i have that chance. Having Parents who except no nonsense from any of us helps keep a sensible head :-)
