At the risk of steering you old timers back to the subject of luggage... Got the topbox delivered today, which was pretty fast by Ghostbikes via eBay. Brought the plate home to fit and managed to get it on the rear rack before the heavens opened. It describes itself as a "universal" plate, which to be fair I suppose it is, although the rack on the rear of my Orbit doesn't seem quite as universal as some. Anyway it is fitted and I can't budge it so hopefully all OK. The topbox itself is still at work and will be coming home tomorrow. Pictures to follow. OK, you can all go back to reliving the 1960's now

Have to say the SYM branded Top box that i had to re mortgage the cat to buy had a very Universal base plate. To the extent that at first try it seemed not to be even close to fitting the rear rack.A bit of head scratching and soon got it on. Seems steady enough and have had a bit of weight in it at times and no sign of movement. You would have thought a SYM branded Box for a SYM would have been straight forward but i guess there are many different SYM racks out there :-)

Know what you mean chaps about universal. Had to jiggle about with mine but once sorted its all o.k. Suppose there are so many different racks even on the same makes of scooter. Didn't know if my box would be much cop really for £19.99 + p&p from CMPO, but it does the job! Now I've got it I wouldn't be without one. Hope everybody has a good week Syming, a bit of rain on the radar this week, but that won't worry you proper scooter boys (and girls)! Jenksy will retreat to the i20 'cos he's a softy!!!!! Have fun.

Thanks, it's a 2012 model so due it's first MOT in August. It's done just over 12k kilometres, most of that at the hands of the previous owner. It was owned by a biking family as a first machine for their son so it was well maintained and looked after.
