Enjoy your holidays Freddie and Simon! Nice to get away for a break. My next one is not until August 2 weeks in Portugal, all inclusive, and adults only, no kids hooray!! Baby Jenksy said " they obviously don't know my dad is like a 12 year old". I don't know what she means!!! Have fun boys!

Thanks Jensky, weather here is amazing, lovely hotel so all good. A lot of scooters about but boy do these Tunisians treat them roughly. A favourite serms to be ripping all the front panels off ! A lot of little punch style mopeds about as well. Saw a couple of guys wheeling their protesting bikes across the sand yesterday, not something you'd want in your carburettor !!
Back to wet and windy Scotland on Wednesday.

Hope you had a nice break mate and that you are well rested and refreshed. It does make you wonder how some of these machines keep going with the amount of abuse they seem to suffer (no oil changes every 1000kms there I think!). Bet the Orbit is glad to see you, I don't think the little 50cc machines like being left for to long unused. Take care mate.

Thanks jenksy, the Orbit has been under it's cover for almost a fortnight so I'm expecting protests when I go to start it up. Going to get the covers off tomorrow, give it a clean down and then talk nicely to it...

I find 7 days standing the max before the Symply wants to play ball. Any thing after that it's a case of 'yep i'll fire up but then stall and you can try and try again before i am ready'. Case closed..all SYM's are tempremental attention seekers who do not not like being left waiting :-)

Does that mean all Syms are women? Don't tell Mrs Jenksy she wouldn't approve of me riding a woman to work, she'd make me buy a big "man" bike. Hang on, that would be even worse!!! What a dilemma!

Well covers off today, tyres checked, given a clean and polish and it fired up first time!!
I think it's the winter cold these machines don't like more than just being idle for a while.

Ha Ha jenksy now we all know a 'big man's bike' is a 50cc.....after all you have to be a 'big man' to take on the chin all the 'small men' trying to push past you in their super whizzy cars when you are in front of them keeping to the speed limit and denting their ego having something that small in front of them.Yes was a very little rant regarding a incident today on the Symply lol. Why is it always BMW or Audi drivers???

Why is it always BMW or Audi drivers??? I used to get a bit annoyed with the odd idiot in a rush. Now I just chuckle to myself (and quite often catch up with them at the next lights!) The other thing as well is the fact that they put boot to floor to pass me means they probably used more fuel to do it than I used on my entire trip, so that's another chuckle! |

How very true mate.They only got in front of me and that was it for about 3 miles because of a tractor towing a trailer.Did not seem to mind being behind that being bigger than them :-)
