Afternoon all. Busy day it has been. Over to Wimborne to pick up a couple of Puch Maxi from freddie. What a talented man you are looking at your creations in your workshop with the Dolls House's.Sorry i could not hang around longer. Dragged the Welder out to do a bit of plating on the LDV Pilot (though could have a bigger Convoy van in a day of two).Possible plans for campervan conversion for the Summer. Took the Symply down on the 'pick up Lad from school ' run. Start as we mean to go on with the 50 to check he is ok on the back. Compared to what i usually ride, very refined and smooth. Not as quick off the mark as the 2 strokes or as willing on the hills but yep it coped fine and think the Symply has a place in our daily lives. Lad seems to like it, we do not get to travel 2 wheels much together as most of mine are single seat. All in all a good days result. Chicken, bacon and cheese melt due out the oven.....have a good evening all

Wind has been picking up over the South Coast, should not have thought that helped on the Symply two up.They don't like a head wind or a hill at the best of times :-)

Now be fair mate, Symplys don't mind hills.... As long as your going down that is, uphill is another matter altogether. Something that is hard to avoid where I live. My house is on a hill and if I go downhill I have to go up (steeply) again. My tactic is to go down and turn right and follow the side roads which climb more gently to the top of the aptly named Witts hill. I have ridden up it but to be honest its not fair on other road users as I only get to about 18mph!! Mind you I don't mind holding them up on the downward side as the speed limit is 30 and as you know I don't speed...ever!

Jensky you sound like a true member of the moped army...if it climbs, go around it the long way :-)

Well they are a bit more of a challenge mate! The Hyundai will take any hill in its stride and you have the aid of a gearbox. I was just thinking about the climb out of the other side of Lyme Regis, even the Hyundai finds that one tough! Would a 50cc job manage it I wonder?

The climb up to the Border to Devon. Have taken a Puch Maxi up that hill and it took a bit of pedal assistance.Think i may take the Symply out on the Purbeck hills to see how it copes.Creech hill being one and the climb through Ulwell out of Swanage. If it can do them then anything is possible.Reckon it would be a struggle though and a strain on the belt drive.

Oh yes I forgot about that one! Its a tough climb alright. And no pedals on a Symply!! I suppose if people are always having to do steep climbs they could try a different weight roller or just maybe take the easier option and get a 125 Symply! Not such a challenge though. Plus CBT or bike licence required!

CBT... so glad i did my motorbike test when a bloke stood on the corner and you just rode around the block and stopped at the curb safely. Now all a money making scheme when it comes to motorcycles. You don't see them restricting car licences or that test (small rant over). That is the thing with a 50cc you have to look at the challenge.I can do the things a BMW 1400 Adventure bike can on a 50cc for a hell of a lot less money and more fun along the way.Never lose faith in the 50 mate :-)
