Picked up a new van this morning, a convoy to replace the aging pilot .100,000 miles on the clock so that's 110,000 less than the pilot. Will be a part conversion to a camper but keep room for the mopeds when we head off to Europe for the Summer runs with the mad moped brigade. The pilot though not quite met the end of the road yet. One more run to Glastonbury for her for the Festival. Bit a a veteran she is there every year for last 10. Probably find a buyer for her there.

You are a cruel man Mr mopedmark. I had to give up my favourite van owing to the problem with my knee. It was kitted out for my disabled friend. DVD monitors, hands free phone, leather seats, the passengers seat swivelled out the way, hoists to lift her into her seat and to lift the wheelchair into the back of the van, Oh, how I miss it. Here is a few photos to let you see what I had to give up

Blimey that is a sporty Van. Could not have one as pristine as that what with tools, welders, mopeds and the Lad and his mate's Mountain bikes being thrown in and out of mine.Just dropped the Lad and his mate off at Corfe Castle with their bikes.Oh to be 12 again and hammering a bike over the Purbeck ridge down to Swanage. Will be picking them up at about 7pm so think they will be ready for a decent feed when they get home. Nice lamb stew on the hob and a new loaf in in the bread maker :-)

Now that takes me back! I used to have an F reg freight rover at work! That was back in the old days of British Rail. Big and bright yellow, it had a gas cooker complete with grill! Must say those old ones we had needed new engines after 50,000 miles so they fitted a different (better) engine! Had a fair few nice fry ups on the old cooker! Keep us posted on your mods mate!

Bloody cheek of it, just for that I won't let either of them have a go with my train set!!

Must say Sixpence that's one smart van. Its great how they can adapt vehicles to serve many different purposes. It certainly helps to give people a new level of freedom!

Must say Sixpence that's one smart van. Its great how they can adapt vehicles to serve many different purposes. It certainly helps to give people a new level of freedom! When we first got the van my friend was able to transfer easier. As her illness (MS) got worse so we had to look for new adaptations to get her about easier. It was a real wrench not only to me but to my friend as well when I started to have trouble with my knee causing me to be unable to control the throttle. Now that it is gone we can't go out for runs to get her out of the house for a couple of hours. We did think about a hand throttle control but the insurance company frowned on that idea. So she is stuck at home while I disappear for a couple of hours on the Sym (the only machine I can use just now). Looking forward to getting the Piaggio MP3 so I can go a wee bit faster
