I'm not so great, but luckily the scooter is running very well indeed. Racked up many miles the last few weeks.
Also murdered thousands of insects. There's bits of them and gunge all over the front of the scooter, on my lid and even on me!

hope your feeling yourself soon.Keep putting on the miles, an idle SYM is a bored SYM .Regards to bugs etc, i am afraid i cannot have a visor down regardless of rain, wind hail, snow just feels too closed in.Guess it is something i have learnt to live with.Have had a few unwelcome pillions from the bug world because of this.

I was annoyed after all the time i put in cleaning my bike to have bits of splattered fly and moth everywhere. But everything is good! Thank you for asking!

I don't bother cleaning it now. Because after one day it ends up just the same! One day I cleaned it and took it for a ride to dry off and ended up riding off-road for a while, on muddy tracks. Cleaned it again when I got home.

I like having a clean bike, but I love riding it more, and it's bound to get dirty on long rides down country lanes and stuff.

Had a quick read through the recent posts. It's been a bit busier than usual which is nice to see. I must admit I do like to keep the old scooter fairly clean, it doesn't get to dirty but then I'm a dry weather man and it gets covered every night ("just putting my scooter to bed Mrs Jenks" I say. She replies with a "yes dear" and a smile which translates to "you prat"!). I wear a full face visor down! I still remember all those horrible flies I swallowed from my cycling days! The thing is though it does get a bit warm very quickly when I have to stop, it's ok whilst moving though. I'm sure some of those bugs are made of glue you know they take a bit of elbow grease to wash off. Still haven't taken the cover off the symply since getting home as I have been a bit on the busy side, I'll make time tomorrow to get out for a while. On the tyre front how much does a half decent scooter tyre cost to buy and fit? Is it best to buy your tyre and take it and your wheel to a tyre fitters for fitting or just pop in to a scooter shop and get them to do it all? I know car tyres are a bit pricier than they used to be but the price normally incudes your fitting and all that. I have never seen a Combiz on the road before but they are an interesting design and the flip up rear seats gives loads of space for tent carrying etcetera when going on an adventure, saw a picture of one with what looks like a crate of beer on the floor! The mind boggles. Anyway chaps I'd better sign off now (my tea is ready and Mrs Jenks makes a nice tea!). Stay safe out there!
