Hope everyone is all well. Finally home from our epic cycle ride through Ireland and Scotland. Seems very strange coming back into a home that has been silent for the best part of 2 months.Whilst i very much enjoy the cycling it has been a bit of a toll on the knees this trip so have been thinking about biting the bullet and doing the CBT and perhaps going up a notch to a largser SYM from the Symply 50. Perhaps a Symba, single seat and large rear rack or maybe a 125 . Any how have poured a small measure from a bottle of 25 year old single malt that i picked up on a tour of a Scottish Whiskey Museum, i think the samples on offer went to the head when i think what i paid for that bottle. Me being me though will probably last another 25 years. Looking forward to looking back on all the past postings from you all but for now it is back to the daily grind. Holiday period now over (boo hoo) Cheers for now

I debated for a while whether it was worth doing a CBT again and upgrading from my wee Orbit to a 125cc bike. I'm really glad I took the plunge. The Orbit was a lot of fun but not really practical for anything other than the shortest of trips in town. The PCX feels so much safer to ride and can eat up the miles with ease.

Hello Freddie, glad you enjoyed your tour. Think I'd need a holiday to recover. Know what you mean though with the limitations of a 50cc. They are superb for short commutes and running around but for anything else you need something a bit bigger. My 5 miles each way is fine with just a couple of short 40mph stretches and even on these bits its seldom above 35 so a 50 is fine. Mrs Jenksy has a chum whose 17 year old son commutes about 15 miles each way on a Fiddle 50 and its restricted as well! He bought it for about £300 and its a nice scooter that does the job OK (his stepdad is a big boy Harley rider so he helped with the buying bit) but I think if I was travelling that far I'd 125 it! He's only doing it for a few months until he can pass his car test so he's happy with it for now. As Simon says its probably worth doing the test and getting it out of the way in the long run especially the A1 if you are happy at that level. Most 100/125s are powerful enough for everything except motorway driving really. Matey with the Harley has a 1200cc engine I believe... Same size as my CAR! Take care and have fun mate!
