Just out of Hospital after a burst ulcer. Curious to know if this site is still up and running? Nobody has posted for FIVE days. I'll leave it there and see what happens.

It has been very quiet around here. I've just ordered up a new case for my SJCAM4000 so hoping to shoot some films from the PCX soon. Hopefully everyone is too busy out on their bikes to have time for forums.
Are you proceeding with the MP3 replacement Sixpence ??

I'm waiting until I find out how I'm going to cope with a change of diet before I go with a change of transport. Do you want to buy it?

Haha, just had a rummage under the sofa but no sign of a spare £4k so I'll have to decline. Quite happy with my PCX anyway, lovely bike to ride. Hope your recovery speeds along, keep us posted.

That sounds somewhat unpleasant! Hope you are on the mend now. Does seem very quiet on our forum. Seems to be the way with scooter forums though, all of a sudden people stop posting!

When you say unpleasant it wasn't that unpleasant. There was some pain and a wee bit blood loss, which they sorted by giving me a blood transfusion. The worst thing was being hooked up to drip bags full of antibiotics and saline for five days.
With regards to the Forum, I am actually a member of three other Forums. One is for MP3 owners on this side of the pond and that is not very busy. Another is a Vespa site in the States which covers Mp3's, this one is bubbling along quite nicely. The third and worst is for Piaggio Owners in Britain, this one only has three of us contributing. It's a shame that Scooterists don't want Forums they can interact on.

That was what i ultimately was trying to do. I knew SYM wasnt a big market and to be honest, these forums sat dead and unused for a few months before all you lovely guys showed up!

Well I'm still about and have a quick check every day for anything new. I guess many scooter owners only search out forums when they have a problem with their bike.
I'm also on a PCX forum which is fairly busy and the T&G forum which was great a few years ago but seems to have died off a bit.
Finally worked out the best way of fitting the camera to the PCX so hope to do some filming soon.

Im a member on Scooter Shack and 49cc Scoot. Com (the later is American). Very interesting they are as well. Our forum is a lot smaller and quieter but still interesting. Scooter Shack seems more "ladish" (not a criticism just an observation!). The other thing as well is this is a Sym forum so although we welcome everyone if you are just browsing Sym is what you see. We maybe small but I for one enjoy our forum. It would be nice to have a few more people posting regularly and not just about Sym. I think people dip in and out of forums as with most things these days. Anyway I've had a nice week Syming to work and back. They have improved the Southampton Airport junction of the M27 and its made a big difference to the traffic on Southampton road so that helps on the journey home. On Wednesday I was just coming up to Gaters Hill when I saw a chap on his pushbike cycling up the path on the opposite side. That used to be me and I don't miss it! After I reached 50 it was getting harder (climbing hills that is!!). Have fun all and hopefully we may get some new people to join our little chats!

Tried Scooter Shack but didn't really take to it, seemed to be full of the "how can I make my ped go at 90mph" lads. 49ccScoot was great, very helpful and knowledgeable members, lots of goid advice when I had the TGB and the Sym. Good scootering weather here too, taking a longer and more hilly route to work now so I can give the PCX a good run out. Managed to persude my mortified daughter to sit on the scoot yesterday...

Hope she realises what an honour it is to sit on Daddies scooter! Mr Cat likes to sit on either the seat or top box of the old Symply dozing in the sun! Being black they do get warm. When the covers on he has been known to curl up in the foot well and shelter from the rain! Must say the Honda is looking very shiny mate. Hope you have a good weekend!
