Hello all,
I've been planning to mount the SJCAM 4000 on my PCX since I got it. The wee Orbit had an ideal spot at the top of the dash, but the PCX has proved trickier. My original plan was to fix it behind the windscreen and angle the connections so the camera would loom over the top. The location would have been ideal except for one thing. I took the bike for a test run but I had failed to allow for screen vibration over every bump and cobble with the camera attached. The resulting film looked like Edinburgh was experiencing an earthquake.
After some thought I have decided to buy mounts for my helmet. I've always been a bit reluctant to take this step as frankly there is a danger you can look like a wally !! However with no easy alternative, helmet it will have to be. Hoping to get the parts next week and then a test run video will be made for you all to consider...
Take care out there,
Simon

Another job I've been meaning to do completed today. I'd installed a movement sensitive alarm on the PCX and stored the unit under the seat, however the seat is so well made the alarm was muffled. Today I moved the alarm under the plastic body of the bike and attached it with heavy duty sticky pads. Seems secure and even if it does come loose it won't interfere with anything when moving along. Alarm wires to be connected to battery... Alarm unit about to be fixed under plastic bodywork... Alarm box in place... All shined up and ready to go...
