I'm not sure I like this imported American idea of naming our storms, bloody Abigail deserves to be treated with nothing but distain !!
Bike blew over at the start of the week when the storm hit the cover and turned it over... unfortunately against the car next to it ! The PCX escaped without a scratch but she did make a tidy dent in the cars side panel. To be fair the owner has taken a "these things happen" attitude but I'm waiting to hear if the repair job is going to hit my insurance or if it's cheap enough to sort out ourselves.
Left the cover off but that still wasn't enough, Edinburgh got hammered yesterday evening and the bike went over again (thankfully no one parked next to me this time). Blowing a gale and driving rain as I got it lifted back up. Eventually had to park it in our communual rubbish bin area just to get out of the wind.
Off to B&Q today to buy a strap which will let me lash it to the concrete support I chain the bike too, hopefully this will solve the problem.
The only positive out of this is once again the PCX build quality. A couple of minor scratches near the base which are hardly noticeable and that's about it.
Abigail is off now to pester someone else having had her fun and wrought her damage, good riddance missus !

That was some storm there mate. What a pain having the old Honda blown over! Hope the neighbours car isn't to expensive. Luckily we avoided the weather (this time) down here. My old Symply is pretty sheltered from the wind so I'm able to keep it covered all the time, I just put a bungee around it as well but the new cover is better than my old one with elastic all the way around. Looks like we have the rain for the entire day here so not much going on Mrs Jenksy has gone off with her chums from work on a coach trip to Lakeside shopping centre. Just Jenksy and the Cat today, mind you he sleeps 23 hours a day now! Supposed to be dry tomorrow so I might Sym over to the Parents before my roast dinner. Take care now!
