Hi Guys! Thought i'd show you these and get some opinions. First i give you the SYM Crox 125: Not sure about the overall design myself, looks like a dirtbike but..scooterish. Headlights look like the GTS/VTS/Voyager, The predecessor of my bike. What i do like however, Is the dashboard! Check this out!!: And here is the second and last one i have found. The X'Pro: Not bad looking. Quite Jet 4-esque i think. Whats your opinions guys?

I think the Crox is definitely aimed at those thinking of buying a dirtbike styled machined (as they have increased in popularity but like Chelsea tractors hardly any go off road) A nice styled machine for that market, but I just wonder if the market is big enough for this style of bike? Looks fun though and I would love a go on one.
The X Pro is definitely a perfect commuter machine, and you can see this catching on with delivery companies, which I think is the ploy with the write up on the SYM website.
Trikes seem to be catching on and I wonder how long it will be before SYM enter that market. Could be a brave, but wise move.

The styling of the Crox is quite aggressive, looks like it would appeal to younger riders. I quite like the RPM gauge on the dash as well.
As for the X'Pro, I said before it is basically identical to the Symply 2, except the X'Pro has a bigger fuel tank and smaller seat to accommodate the cargo rack at the rear. If that is SYM's idea of a replacement for the Combiz then I think it is a very poor effort indeed. It has less space for cargo.

The crox seems to be aimed at younger riders. It is very stylish and has some nice features, probably turn a few heads! Not really for conservative old farts like jenksy! I think your bang on the money as well with the x pro. It is in no way going to do the same job as the combiz!

Yeh definitely missed those, but I think the EX3 Concept must be on loan from the Star Wars set The type of trike I think could be a good move is something along the lines of the new Yamaha Tricity which has a 125 engine. Have to agree with TPP, I think the X Pro is no match for the Combiz, but being built on the reputation of its predecessor I can still see this selling to businesses.

I wish SYM would come up with a large cc touring motorcycle. Or even a 125 geared bike with a more powerful water cooled engine. And bring back the Combiz! I think there is a lot of potential in the UK to switch to cargo bikes for deliveries instead of cars/vans, especially delivering small items in crowded cities. A while back I came across some pics of a UK Combiz with an exceptionally large topbox mounted. I've attached them to this post. I actually found the Chinese supplier of that box but they couldn't explain to me how it attaches to the bike. In the future I might be interested in one.

That topbox is big enough to carry a spare scooter in! I wonder what it is used to transport? Cargo bikes and scooters don't even seem to be on the agenda in the uk. You have to wonder why not! Mind you in the wet I go straight onto 4 wheels. Wet roads and scooters are a completely different ball game. I would imagine that would be even more the case if carrying a fairly large load. Listen to me go on! Mr sensible with no sense of adventure! I'd make a great delivery man wouldn't I "sorry boss can't go out, there's a big black cloud up there!". Hope all you Symites have nice weekend scootering (weather permitting).

From the Chinese site I found the box on they had other versions, including a heated one, so I'd guess it's for delivering food, or whatever else would fit in it. As I only have access to the scooter, I have to ride when it's raining or strong wind. It isn't too bad really. At my last job I had a 16.5 mile commute mostly on dual-carriageway. One day I woke up late for work, the fog outside was unbelievable. I still went anyway. My colleagues stood there in utter shock speechless when I walked in 15 minutes late. They weren't even expecting me to attempt the ride with the lack of visibility. My last bike before this was an electric bike. I used to ride that even on snow and ice with no problems. Never had the chance on the Combiz yet because last winter wasn't too bad.

I'm the same as TPP. Its my only form of transport so rain or shine i'm on the bike. It does do one hell of a job in the wet! The only thing that still bugs me to this day is that i don't have the foglights. They only came on the 300cc model. Could have used them at 4.30 this morning on my way to work!

You could probably get them added. I found the high beam on mine quite adequate indeed, in fact when it reflects off large road signs its blinding. Still doesn't help when the fog is so bad you can't see more than 5 metres ahead. That day I did the foggy commute last year I was expecting a speed camera on the route and I couldn't see it until I was nearly alongside. By the time I got to the carriageway it improved slightly but even the few other drivers around were extremely nervous and hesitating when overtaking lorries. I doubt I would do that again unless I absolutely had to. My uncle crashed his Lambretta in the 1960s in the fog and was in hospital for a while.
