Back of jonscoots garage is a brand new CZ 125 crate dated 1989 in it's original crate and un registered as a new bike. Pristine condition. Any ideas on value please or is it just a scrap bike being of low value.

I remember the old C Z bikes and quite liked the look of them myself, very Soviet my old girlfriend called them! Don't expect they are worth a lot of money but you never know! These sort of machines (old Eastern European) are often fondly remembered and to be honest they might have been cheap and cheerful but they did a job for many people. I wonder if they still make them? Well there's a job for this afternoon, have a look see. Glad you enjoyed your ride the other day, the first of many I hope.

Thank you Jensky, Have handed the role over to Jon's friend Paul this morning who made a few phone calls and there's a Gentleman coming to collect it this evening.Any funds raised through selling on some of Jon's collection, especially his vast Bicycle parts horde will be donated to the charities that he was fond of supporting.
Very much enjoyed the ride out during the week. Built up my confidence to get out and ride :-)
Have a lovely rest of weekend

I'm still a bit of a lover of Eastern Bloc iron myself and these bikes are now gaining cult status with an active following. There's a couple of clubs for these active in Britain. Below is a couple of addresses who might be able to help, if not give me a shout and I will see what I can do with my contacts in the local MZ Riders section. There's a guy in the club there whose garage is a shrine to Jawa-CZ and even has the nickname of 'Jawa Dave'.

Hi Ricky H
Thanks for the information. Fun day watching Paul assemble the CZ 125 and it fired into life on 5th kick so cant be bad for a new bike that has been sat for 25 years.Paul is a bit of a 2 stroke engine whizz to be fair and he did a fair bit of fiddling and adjusting.Gent came and collected it about an hour ago and he was so excited when he saw it.Am starting to understand you boys and your toys :-).
Take care
Brenda

Must admit I had some fantastic times with my MZ's and some great memories. Seeing an egg and spoon race between someone on the pillion seat of an MZ and someone on the boot of a Lada police car is a memory I will never forget. Picture below is of 'Czechpoint Charlie' at the Dartmoor Pact rally with a couple of Jawa's arriving. And before anyone asks, no I wont be digging out the uniform for the first SYMmering camp. Those boots are a killer
