Welcome to the forums! No...its not normal for it to rev up to 5000 only on the stand. Infact it seems most unusual. I have had mine up to 7000 on the stand while doing a small test however i quickly reduced the revs so that it didn't accidentally make contact with the ground and fly off. Sorry im a little late with the response. Been a busy body lately and got soaked on my way home from work today. Thank god i wear the proper waterproof biker gear!!

Thanks for the welcome. Well i figured out the problem, dirty fuel pipes and pump, cleaned them all out and its running a treat now. Managed to get out in the countryside (scottish borders) and it holds up very well in the hills and bends. Done a 50 mile round trip down to St Marys Loch, (that road is made for bikes/scooters) and enjoyed it immensely.

One thing you've got plenty of in the borders area is countryside and from what I gather fairly spectacular as well. That's a good run should blow any remaining cobwebs away. Pleased to hear you enjoyed it, that's what it's all about in the end. It's warming up nicely here on the south coast so I can leave the car at home, lets hope it lasts. Still haven't done a proper ride " just for fun" yet hope to get one in soon. Enjoy yourself on your new scooter and take care mate.
